Thoughts on Social Media Part #3

So then what is Social Media for? Is it really just another vast room where I can enter to shout across the Cyber lines? Honestly, it all seems so primitive to me. I want to do more. It has so much more potential. It really does! So here is what I started building. I have two websites. The Other is Brain to Books. Now, I’ll be honest. I don’t put much effort into Brain to Books because, to me, it’s a catalog. It is there for you, dear writing reader. I have so much to share about writing, that I post it there on Brain to Books instead of my website, which mostly focuses on…well…ME! This site is just one great, glorified shameless celebration of me! And you all are here for me!

*bows with regal dramatization*

Thank you, dear friend. Now kiss my ring. Come on! We all have websites! We all know that is what we are doing! I’m just calling it for what it is.

So I have been looking for ways to build up each of my Media platforms to use as tools. Goodreads is my cyber “Bookshelf,” and I formed the annual “Book Cyber Convention,” which is held every April. I recently invented “Giveaways” Group so readers can find current giveaways and authors can post their giveaways. Goodreads is great! 🙂

Twitter…is a bulletin board, I have decided. Nothing else. You check in to get the latest on my news.

Facebook…Facebook baffles me. I turned it into a bulletin board, but also use it for a kind of newsletter. I should post my newsletter on Facebook. I’ll do that from now on!

Pinterest…Would you believe, the top two Social Media platforms are Facebook and Pinterest!? Twitter is fourth. It was beat out by Tumblr. Tumblr! What the heck is Tumblr!? I have an account and hate it. I have no idea what to do with it! I mean really? It is an unglorified website! But I have two of those! Why do I need Tumblr? Here is where I wish you could speak back to me 🙁 I’d love to hear what you value, what you think…your thoughts.

Biographical Info... What you seek is my Story. Every Soul is a "Blurb" as one would read on the back of the book. But can people be "unwrapped" so easily? Most importantly, why try? I have long since learned to preserve the Savory that comes with Discovery. Learning of another Soul is a Journey. It is an Exploration. And it does not do the Soul Justice to try and condense a Soul Journey into a Bio.
