Kallan’s Interview

Angela: Alright, Kallan. It’s your turn.

*Kallan arches a brow in question at her author.*

Angela: I just interviewed Bergen. I’m interviewing you next.

Kallan: Very well

*Kallan settles herself down and waits patiently*

Rune: This should be good.

*Kallan scowls and Angela grins at Rune.*

Angela: You’re next, Rune.

*Rune beams in good humor.*

Angela: Now then, Kallan. Introduce yourself and tell the audience about yourself.

Kallan: Well…I am Kallan, Daughter of Eyolf, queen and ruler of the Dokkaflar city, Lorlenalin in Alfheim.

Rune: Tell them how much of a pain in the ass you are.

*Kallan ignites the flame in her hand and prepares to fire*

Angela: Kallan, calm.

Kallan: But he’s such an ass!

Angela: *grins*…I know. Just like his brother isn’t he.

Kallan: Ugh! *Kallan extinguishes her flame*

Angela: Tell them about the Seidr. I’m sure everyone is dying to know how you do it and what it is.

Kallan: The Seidr? *Kallan flicks her wrist and a ball of fire appears in her hand.* I’m a Seidkona.

Angela: (A witch.)

Kallan: The Seidr is an energy force that is in all living things. As a Seidkona, I was taught to harness that energy and compress it to make fire. I can also manipulate the Seidr and draw on it like threads fastened to water, air, and earth.

Rune: Damn.

Angela: Yeah, Rune. You may want to be a little nicer to Kallan. Tell us where and when were you born, Kallan.

Kallan: I was born in Svartalfaheim, the ancient realm of the Black Elves deep within the earth below the Dvergar mines. When I was in my seventh winter, I and the Dokkalfar journeyed to Alfheim where we built Lorlenalin.

Angela: How would you describe yourself?

Rune: An ass pain.

Angela: Ignite him.

*Kallan fires a blast of Seidr at Rune who dodges the attack*

Kallan: Tenacious.

Angela: Tell us about where you grew up.

Kallan: Lorlenalin. The White Pearl. City of stone on the edge of the sea that overlooks the Kattegat from the mountains in which it was carved. Oh, how dearly I love my city and the people. My people, the Dokkalfar. I grew up during the war between the Dokkalfar and the Ljosalfar. Shortly before I reached my elding, I began caring for Lorlenalin’s orphans.

*Rune listens intrigued, unable to imagine this side of the witch queen who often lights his backside on fire.*

Angela: Tell everyone what it is you do when you’re not with the orphans.

Kallan: *Kallan glares at Rune* I would rather not say before my enemy.

Angela: Fair enough. Are you serious with anyone?

Kallan: *blushing* I don’t waste time on relationships. There has been no time with the war and…no.

Angela: Tell them about your worst fear.

Kallan: Fear? Rather personal don’t you think?

Angela: It’s because Rune is here, isn’t it.

Kallan: Yes.

Angela: Thank you for your time, Kallan. “Dolor and Shadow” is out today and “Lorlenalin’s Lies” is due to release next year.

Biographical Info... What you seek is my Story. Every Soul is a "Blurb" as one would read on the back of the book. But can people be "unwrapped" so easily? Most importantly, why try? I have long since learned to preserve the Savory that comes with Discovery. Learning of another Soul is a Journey. It is an Exploration. And it does not do the Soul Justice to try and condense a Soul Journey into a Bio.
